Celebrate the Gove-Khamooshi Wedding by Supporting WemaSam Khamooshi and Madison Gove would like to use their wedding on March 4th, 2023 to raise funds for causes they care about.One of these is The Wema Children's Centre in Bukembe, Kenya. Wema is an organization that works with the local Highway Academy to provide housing, healthcare, and a premier education to local students, about half of which are orphans or whose families cannot afford to support their education.
Madison has volunteered with Wema for 10 years and serves on the Board of the associated nonprofit. She helped raise funds for a micro-enterprise bakery at the orphanage to provide jobs for young adults, sustainable income for the school, and bread for the village. She is still involved with the bakery now that it is operating as well as other Wema initiatives. She is excited to one day visit the Centre in person with Sam! |
